When our mother was diagnosed with A.L.S. (Lou Gehrig’s disease), the family was faced with having to deal with the lengthy a process€that dying becomes when one is afflicted with a degenerative disease. With her prognosis of two years to live, we found ourselves totally unprepared for the tough challenges we would be up against now that A.L.S. had invaded our family and was going to take its victim little by little. This is a touching account of our journey with her as she battled her daily deterioration and of our struggle as loved ones having to witness it.
