Support Group facilitated in English at ALS Quebec

For many years, ALS Quebec has been bringing together people affected by amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) through our various support groups. These spaces for sharing and listening allow everyone to feel understood, supported, and less alone in facing the disease.

To better serve all those affected and their loved ones across Quebec, we’re pleased to propose support groups facilitated in English.

A safe space with people who understand you

In this new offering, the group facilitated in English alternate each month between two audiences:

  • One month dedicated to people living with ALS
  • The following month reserved for caregivers and family members

This alternating format allows everyone to benefit from a space adapted to their experience and specific needs. Sessions are held via Zoom to make it easy for anyone to participate, no matter where you are in Quebec.

Meet Mia Lanno

This group is facilitated by Mia Lanno, an experienced social worker who has been volunteering with ALS Quebec for several years. Having co-facilitated bereavement groups, Mia brings both professional expertise and a warm presence that puts everyone at ease.
