English Support Group – For people with ALS

This support group is for all English-speaking people living with ALS.

The support group for people living with ALS provides a space to discuss challenges related to the disease: advance care planning, supportive resources, research protocols, mental health, and more. It is a place to share, find support, and inspire hope.

New format

To better meet the needs of the English-speaking community, we’ve updated the format of our English support groups.

What’s new?

  • The English support groups will now alternate each month between people living with ALS and caregivers
  • Meetings will take place in the evening, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.
  • The groups will be facilitated by Mia Lanno, a trained social worker with extensive experience in healthcare, including work with people affected by ALS. A long-time volunteer with ALS Quebec, Mia has also co-facilitated a bereavement support group.

When and where

  • Date: Thursday, January 15th, 2026
  • Time: 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
  • Location: The support group will be held on Zoom
