The Golf Community Unites on the Greens to End ALS
In September 2025, auction winners teed off across the province. Every year, you can join the event to show your support for families affected by ALS, just follow these three easy steps!
- Choose an activity to do during the month of September and take part in our auction.
For example, you can: book a tee time | visit a driving range | book a golf lesson with a PGA professional | play a round of mini-putt | organize a mini-golf tournament | wear green — or even bid on our auction prizes.
- Get ready. – Download and fill out our United on the Greens to End ALS selfie sign. Bring it with you to your activity!
- Share your support. – Take a photo with the selfie poster and post it on social media. Use the hashtags #UnitedOnTheGreens and #UnisSurLesVerts, and tag @SLAQuebec.
You can also email your photo to golf@sla-quebec.ca.

            In memory of Patrick Rhéaume

United on the Greens to End ALS was launched in 2024 as a tribute to Patrick Rhéaume, a beloved member of Québec’s golf community. A passionate advocate for the sport who helped countless people to discover the joy of golf.  Rhéaume died in 2024 of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) 15 months after his diagnosis.

ALS is a life-limiting disease that profoundly changes the lives of not only the person diagnosed but their loved ones who must provide increasing care and support as the disease progresses, limiting the ability to move, eat, speak, and eventually breathe. While there are some treatments for ALS, there is no cure, and most people with the disease will live for two to five years after their diagnosis.rnrnu0026nbsp;rnrnFunds raised will support all areas of ALS Quebec’s mission from support and education to research and advocacy. Locally focused and broadly connected, ALS Québec works closely with families affected by ALS, health care providers, researchers, industry and partners regionally, nationally and internationally to accelerate progress toward a future when an ALS diagnosis means something very different than today.
