ALS affects the entire family, including young people. It is perfectly normal to feel helpless when it comes to discussing the disease and its impact with them.
Workshop description
During this workshop, Justine McHugh, social worker and clinical director at Deuil Jeunesse, will present concrete guidelines and practical tools for discussing the disease, emotions, and difficult questions according to the age of the young people. Isabelle Lessard, former caregiver to her husband, will share her experience with ALS, including supporting their daughters from diagnosis to their father’s death—and beyond. Join us to enrich your approach to these conversations, exchange ideas in a supportive environment, and feel better equipped to handle these delicate conversations.
