English Support Group – For Caregivers | ALS Quebec

This support group is for all English-speaking caregivers, friends, and families of people living with ALS.

Support groups are there to inform and support you. They help break isolation and allow you to connect with a community that understands your realities.

To better meet the needs of the English-speaking community, we’ve updated the format of our English support groups.

What’s new?

  • The English support groups will now alternate each month between people living with ALS and caregivers
  • Meetings will take place in the evening, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.
  • The groups will be facilitated by Mia Lanno, a trained social worker with extensive experience in healthcare, including work with people affected by ALS. A long-time volunteer with ALS Quebec, Mia has also co-facilitated a bereavement support group.

Join our virtual meetings and experience both the strength and the warmth of the community.

N.B. If you are less comfortable in a group, know that you are welcome to participate via the chat function in Zoom.

  • When: Thursday, December 4th, 2025 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
  • Where: The support group will be held on Zoom

If you are not familiar with Zoom, or with online communications, please consult our Zoom guides on our website.
