BEREAVEMENT: WE ARE HERE FOR YOU

We understand that you are going through a period of emotional turmoil. Everyone experiences loss in their own way and there is no ideal or set way to process it.

Know that you are not alone. Our team welcomes you with respect and compassion during this trying time, and offer personalized and confidential services that foster listening and sharing.

OUR SUPPORT AND SERVICES

Some people prefer dealing with their loss surrounded by family and friends, while others prefer the support of others who are going through the same experiences.

We offer support groups where we encourage listening and sharing. You are invited to take part at your own pace, whether it is to express your concerns, discuss the various stages of grieving, take advantage of the individual and personalized consultations we offer or take part in replenishing activities or commemorative events.

OUR GUIDANCE AND SUPPORT

Our support groups are a great opportunity for you to listen and share, where anyone can ask questions, discuss their concerns, or share their experience with others who may be going through a similar experience.

In a warm and respectful environment, participants can acquire knowledge or draw inspiration from others in order to move forward in their grieving process and learn how to deal with it in their daily lives. These moments of reflection also help to better understand the emotions they are experiencing, whatever they may be, so that they can move toward physical, emotional and spiritual healing.

OUR SUPPORT GROUPS

  • Support groups for people in mourning—these meetings are held in person. They take place in Montreal and in surrounding areas upon request.
  • Open groups—these groups allow participants to share their daily life and what they are experiencing at that moment. The groups are open to anyone who is grieving, family members or friends, who want to take part, without any obligation.
  • Closed groups—These meetings provide an opportunity to explore and discuss the different stages of grief. Participants commit to attending a predetermined number of meetings.
  • Telephone group meetings—Take part in a teleconference group meeting which allows you to share your experiences with others, without having to leave your home.

With the exception of the teleconferences, the number of participants in each group is limited. The groups are moderated in either French or English.
