This webinar offers some basic psychological resilience strategies easily applicable in daily life. Drawing from the most recent research, it first defines resilience and highlights its core mechanisms. Key factors underlying resilience are then presented. Within the broad range of physical factors, special attention is given to sleep and moderate exercise, along with the notion of hormetic (protective) stress. Psychological factors are also explored, including outlooks conducive to resilience as defined by Hobfoll and a new neuroscientific tool: the Compassion Protocol. Resilience-building activities and their impact on grieving losses conclude the webinar along with a tool, the microresolution, to help gradually implement some of these strategies.
